The method of TIMKEN bearing regular maintenance , cleaning , noise
In monitoring and diagnosing TIMKEN bearing faults, the use of vibration is much easier and more reliable than noise. Therefore, vibration is undoubtedly the main research direction. However, this does not belong to the problem of the bearing itself, but the problem of bearing applications should be another matter.
Because of the direct correlation between vibration and noise of TIMKEN bearings, it can be said to be a synonym under certain conditions. Therefore, in production and use, “vibration reduction and noise reduction” are always linked together, and “low vibration bearings” are also often used. Customarily called "low noise bearing", this is the reason.
By controlling the bearing vibration to control the TIMKEN bearing noise, it not only directly captures the source and cause of the noise, but also because it is relatively simple to implement, such as the measurement of vibration is less affected by environmental conditions, the basic vibration is easy to separate, easy to use in the production of the actual application . However, measurement noise requires high environmental conditions and requires low background noise. Therefore, it must generally be performed in an anechoic room with a high construction cost.
From peeling, indentation, rust, cracks, wear, etc. will be reflected in the vibration measurement of the bearing, the bearing vibration is very sensitive to the damage of the bearing, so the bearing adopts a special bearing vibration measurer (frequency analyzer, etc.) The size of the vibration can be measured, and the specific circumstances of the abnormality cannot be inferred from the frequency division. Since the measured value differs depending on the conditions of use of the bearing or the mounting position of the sensor, it is necessary to analyze and compare the measured values of each machine in advance and determine the judgment criteria.
First, we also need to check the lubricant of TIMKEN bearings. Lubrication is important, not for bearings, but also for all bearings. However, please note that bearings should not be excessively greased. The inspection method for the bearing lubricant is: rubbing the lubricant between the two fingers, if there is a contaminant, it can be felt; or apply a layer of lubricant on the back of the hand, and then perform the sealing inspection. Then replace the bearing lubricant. After using oil-lubricated bearings to remove old oil, if possible, fresh oil should be added and the machine rotated at low speed for several minutes. As much as possible, make the engine oil collect the remaining contaminants and then remove the engine oil. Note: It is best to filter the oil before use. When using grease-lubricated bearings, when replacing the grease, the skimmer used should avoid any contact with the bearing with cotton. Because these residual fibers may be wedged between the rolling elements and cause damage, especially the application of small bearings requires more attention to this problem.
Second, it is necessary to pay attention to cover the exposed bearings. When inspecting the bearings, do not expose the bearings to contaminants or moisture. If the work is interrupted, the machine should be covered with a plastic sheet or similar material. If the unshielded bearing is to be cleaned without dismantling and inspection may be performed, the coating brush shall be cleaned with a petroleum solvent and then wiped with a lint-free cloth or blown with compressed air (be careful not to allow The bearing assembly starts rotating). Use a small mirror and a probe similar to a dentist to inspect the bearing's raceway, retainer, and beads. Do not wash bearings with seals or dust; only wipe the outside surface. If the bearing is damaged, it needs to be replaced. It is more economical to replace the bearings during regular outages and maintenance periods than the sudden shutdown due to damage to the array.
Third, it needs to be emphasized that it is important to keep the bearings lubricated and clean. So before we inspect the TIMKEN bearings, we should first clean the bearing surface and then disassemble the parts around the bearing. We must pay attention to the fact that oil seals are very fragile parts. Therefore, extra care must be taken when checking and disassembling. Do not apply excessive force to avoid damage to parts. Then carefully inspect the bearing's oil seal and its surrounding parts. If any unpleasant symptoms are exhibited, it must be replaced. The defective oil seal will cause the bearing to be damaged, causing the bearing cloud to be abnormal and cause the equipment to stop.
